Pacific Gateway is partnered with Long Beach Memorial Medical Center to offer you the opportunity to become a Certified Medical Assistant. This free program consists of 16-weeks of training set to start on December 1, 2014.

To enroll in the program, you must meet the following requirements:
-Must be laid off from previous job and receiving Unemployment Insurance Benefits (UIB), or have already exhausted UIB (must show proof of UIB status)
-MUST BE UNEMPLOYED
-Possess a High School Diploma or GED
-Pass the Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment Systems (CASAS) test at a 12th grade level for reading and math
-Pass a background check and drug test (Any convictions of misdemeanors, felonies, DUIs, etc. Must show proof of expungement documentation for consideration. A charge and/or conviction of drugs for possession, sales, use, and/or theft in any form is acceptable)
